LeaderConnect

Tailored for leaders and managers to better understand the critical role of better practice regional engagement

Our leadership engagement program

Regional communities often feel unheard or overlooked in development decisions and poor engagement can lead to distrust, misinformation, and potential project failure. The RegionalConnect program is designed to put people in the shoes of regional communities—understanding their concerns, values, and way of life. It provides practical, scenario-based training for practitioners and project staff on respectful, transparent, and effective engagement. With the increasing national focus on improved community engagement and increasing community resistance, its critical that all levels - top down - understand what it takes to engage respectfully and effectively in regional communities.

In this intense two-hour session, leaders and managers will understand the critical role of better practice regional engagement in building trust and progressing projects, and the importance of empowering front-line teams to implement it effectively.

Participants will leave with:

  • An understanding of what regional communities expect (not quite right words – what they want from engagement).
  • A high level overview of the core components of the REAL framework and the RegionalConnect program.
  • A clear understanding of the critical cultural, contextual, behavioural and qualitative elements unique to effective regional engagement.
  • A clear understanding of leadership alignment and how to create a unified approach to regional engagement across the organisation. - Access to the RegionalConnect network and receive relevant communication and insights.
  • The LeaderConnect Badge upon program completion.
