RegionalConnect was established by Engaged Outcomes to improve the way regional engagement is approached to ensure regional communities don’t just host critical infrastructure for the renewable energy shift - they benefit from it. Through training, engagement and facilitation, we build capacity, empower people and drive lasting change where it matters most.
The RegionalConnect program provides a learning pathway that includes our entry-level program RegionalConnect Foundations, followed by RegionalConnect Integration an immersive, place-based learning experience followed by online support, to give participants the tools, awareness and real-insights to engage meaningfully and effectively with regional communities.
The program was co-designed with community representatives, industry leaders, and regional engagement experts, to ensure real-world relevance, by:
Identifying what regional communities thought was good engagement through extensive consultation
Developing the Engaged Outcomes REAL Framework;
Working with industry bodies, QFF and QREC, to develop the initial training concept
Co-designing the training with community representatives and our Community and Industry Advisory Group (CIAG) ; and
Working with the CIAG to pilot and refine the program in late 2024 and launching in January 2025.
RegionalConnect Foundations is a two-hour virtual session introducing the core RegionalConnect concepts. A perfect first step to understanding what our regional communities expect and how the REAL framework supports genuine engagement.
The RegionalConnect Integration 4-week program is a one-of-a-kind learning experience for engagement practitioners wanting to know how they can engage respectfully and effectively in Regional Australia.
